Start time: 10am
Location: B16 (Meeting Room) in the DSU building (Dunelm House, New Elvet, Durham, DH1 3AN)

Workshop leader and author of this post on the topic, Alex Vellins, has provided the following description:

Taking risks is hard, but there is a certain type of risk, namely ‘Upside Bargains', that I think we could all benefit from taking some more. These actions have an amazing but unlikely upside and minimal downside. The problem is that there are systematic reasons why we can be afraid of taking these bargains, so I go through these barriers and suggest strategies to overcome them. Since attending a similar workshop, I took 8 of these bargains, 1 of which worked out well so I hope you can benefit from this concept too!
